Enhancement: Messaging Experience Update

Sending an effective message with your profile can increase your chance of getting a positive response by up to 84%. We've released a number of features to improve this experience for people

Message Walk Through

Now, when you press "Message" on a position on cord you will see a short walk though on the left hand bar that explains how to write a message that will increase their chances of getting a positive response. You can follow the walk-through to get help with each step of the message.

 

You will also be able to view examples of other messages by opening the "Message Examples" tray at the bottom of the left-hand bar.

 

Before you send a message, users will be able to see what they have in common with the position in the chatbox to help them write personalised messages. Users will also be warned if they have no primary skills matching the position that it will help to explain why you're still a good fit.

 

Should you not wish to send a message with your profile, users will be able to send their profile without a message by pressing the "Share profile without message" icon in the message box.

Message Templates & Variables

You can now create templates and use variables in the templates to inject relevant information from the position, company and hiring team members profile.

 
 

The variables available are the Recipient Name, the Company Name, the Position Name, The Position Primary Skills and the Company industry.

Templates can then be applied to your message when you initially approach a company. This should allow you to send personalised messages quicker.
