BETA: Profile Match Score
Surface quality applications instantly. Scan for matching criteria in seconds.
Key changes
- Profile Match Percentage Score: Instantly gauge the compatibility of an application.
- Sort by Best Match: Never miss a quality candidate.
- Profile Match Summary: Identify at a glance matching criteria in Logistics, Experience and Interests categories.
Why?
A 40% spike in job applications in recent months means that surfacing quality applications is more time-consuming than ever before. Reduced hiring teams can become overwhelmed by the sheer volume of applications.
By distilling complex candidate data into easy-to-understand metrics, the Profile Match Score empowers talent teams to quickly identify quality applications.
Informed by 10,000s of thousands of historic application data points, the percentage score directly correlates with the likelihood of the application being accepted.
What?
1. Profile Match Percentage Score
Understand at a glance how well an applicant's profile fits your position and company requirements.
This score, while simple in presentation, is backed by analysing the outcomes of 10s of thousands of historic applications, ensuring its statistical reliability. See more below.
The score identifies the candidate’s key criteria, separated into Logistical, Experience and Interests and weights each category based on the typical importance.
2. Sort by Best Match
Never miss a quality candidate. Hiring teams will now be able to sort their request by Best Match, meaning you can spend your time on the most relevant applications first.
Simply switch the ordering of your requests to “Best match first” to instantly surface the candidates that are best suited to your role.
3. Profile Match Summary
Open the candidate's profile, and you will instantly see the matching criteria categorised into Logistics, Experience and Interests.
Each category compares the candidate’s profile criteria with your position and company criteria. Easily identify matching criteria with a ☑️ and non-matching criteria with a ❌.

How?
Our objective was to create a score that was statistically reliable, based on the probability of an application being accepted, meaning this feature was primarily a data & back end challenge.
Hasan (BE) worked in tandem with ChatGPT’s code interpreter for 2 weeks to run statistical analysis on 10s of thousands of historical applications on cord to understand the influence each criteria had on the chance of a company accepting an application. After 5 iterations, we found it!
The above graph shows the correlation between the Profile Match Score and the chance of the application being accepted. Match scores below 20% only have an 8% chance of being accepted, match scores over 70% have a 24% chance: 3x more likely!
With the data and back end built, it was Katerina’s (Head of UX/UI) challenge to make the Profile Match Summary intuitive to read at a glance, and Vinu’s (FE) responsibility for getting it built. We’re delighted with the result.
